Callao Vol. Rescue Squad was established in 1966 by a group of people who had the desire to help their community in their time of need. We are operated solely on volunteers and are funded by donations from our wonderful community supporters, grants, fundraisers, and by the county of Northumberland.  Our volunteers participate in monthly training and our EMT's must complete a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education units (CEU's) in order to maintain their certification and this number increases as the level of certification increases.
